Description:
A cylinder almost full of water has an index card placed
over the top and then is inverted. Since the water wants to fall out of
the cylinder, it creates a pocket of air at a much lower pressure than
atmosphere. The atmospheric pressure then, being higher, holds the water
in the cylinder!
