Bus Jumps Bridge in Speed

The movie Speed contains a scene where a bus jumps a 50 foot gap in an unfinished bridge. The bus just makes it, but is this accurate? Calculations can be given from the apparent launching angle (~10 to 15 degrees) and the known speed (no pun intended) of the bus at 'liftoff', 72 mph.
