WinFirst Installation

Instructions for installing WINFIRST on your Thinkpad:

Make sure your computer is on the Wake Forest campus network and logged onto the NT network (i.e. your have to type in a valid username and password in the login window; do not just click Cancel to skip the Window logon.)

1. Click on the Start Menu, and choose Run...
2. At the prompt, type in:
   If you have a IBM A30 laptop type: \\acad1\chemistry\pub\winfirst\A30winfirst
   All others type: \\acad1\chemistry\pub\winfirst\winfirst
3. Click OK, and it will copy a shortcut file to your Thinkpad. After it has finished, you will see an "Shortcut to WINFIRST" icon on your desktop, and the following screen, showing it's done. Then, you can close it.

Instructions for Removing WINFIRST from your Thinkpad After the Semester:

Simply delete the Shortcut to WINFIRST icon on your desktop.
