Visual Resources Library

and Print Collection

Located in Scales Fine Arts Center Room 110, the visual resources library is a reference collection of digital images, slides, art books, journals, videos, and DVDs. The image collection consists of over 200,000 images of art and architecture from prehistoric times to the present day. These materials are used not only by the art history and studio faculty and students, but also by other faculty and visiting lecturers in all disciplines, especially literature, world history, civilization, and languages. Our database of digital images can be accessed by faculty from their own computers, even from Europe and Asia.
The Wake Forest Print Collection is housed here and can be viewed online. The print collection represents a wide range of cultures and styles from hand-lettered illuminated manuscripts, early Renaissance engravings, Japanese wood-block prints, expressionist color lithographs, and hand printed books.
